Over the past two weeks I've noticed that my steering wheel in my car is looking a little beat-up. I was cursing the manufacturer, the repair job after my ...incident... in december, the design of the steering wheel - you name it. Then I realized that I was driving with my right hand, which is in a cast, which is made of hard fiberglass, which rubs the finish off of anything it touches. Sweet. This injury rocks. Solution ? Wrap my steering wheel in bar tape. Yes, I did.
I can't complete this blog without mentioning Michael Jackson. No doubt his personal life was a bit of a disaster (who am I to judge?), but I grew up with his music and his persona. I remember my sister playing the Thriller record - actual vinyl! I sat with my family waiting to watch the premier of the Black or White video after an episode of the Simpsons. A friend of mine in middle school went to see a concert and I was jealous. Whatever issues he had, he made an impact during his 40+ years in the public eye. Everyone knows the words to his songs; when played in public, people just have to move to it. He was just always ... there. And now he's not. It's sad to me.In other news, it is a strange coincidence that a week after I called out the Wrath of the Badger, one of the Badger's followers decided to make an appearance in the news. Seems this little guy somehow got lost in someone's bathroom. (Insert bad potty-joke here) Thanks to (unnamed contributor) for passing that link along.
